Chloe Vassmer

Hi, I’m Chloe.

If you’ve lived through painful or overwhelming experiences, or grown up in a family where love and safety felt complicated, it’s no surprise you’re feeling stuck now. Maybe it shows up as anxiety, people-pleasing, emotional numbness, or a deep sense of not being “enough.” The ways you’ve learned to cope have kept you going, and that deserves to be seen. But I believe healing is about more than coping. It’s about exploring why these patterns are there, the stories they’ve carried for you, and how to create new, healthier ones.

Before becoming a therapist, I was a music educator for almost ten years. That experience taught me the power of connection, creativity, and meeting people where they are. It also deepened my belief that growth happens best in safe, supportive relationships—and that’s what I aim to offer in our work together.

How We Might Work Together

  • Brainspotting: This approach, which grew out of EMDR, helps your brain and body process stuck emotional pain, even if you don’t have the words for what happened. It’s a gentle way to heal at a deeper level.

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS): Together we’ll get to know the different “parts” of you, like the anxious part, the self-critical part, or the one that wants to shut down.

  • Coherence Therapy: Sometimes we hold onto hidden beliefs like “I’m not safe” or “I’m unlovable” without even realizing it. This therapy helps uncover and shift those deep patterns so you can feel freer.

  • Memory Reconsolidation Techniques: These approaches help your brain “rewrite” stuck emotional learnings so you can respond to life in new, more freeing ways.

  • Psychodynamic Therapy: We’ll look at how your early relationships and experiences might be shaping your present struggles, so you can break out of old cycles and build healthier ones.

  • Somatic & Mindfulness-Based Practices: Healing isn’t just in the mind, it’s in the body too. These practices help you feel calmer, more grounded, and better able to cope in the moment.

  • Trauma-Informed Care: Above all, you are in control at every step. We’ll go at a pace that feels right for you, and I’ll always work to make sure our time together feels supportive and safe—not overwhelming.
